Stothert & Pitt Bowls Club serving Bath, Saltford, Keynsham and Bristol [affiliated to Bowls England and the Somerset Bowls Association]
If you want to join a lively friendly outdoor bowls club you have just come to the right place. We are a mixed club, ladies and men of all ages and abilities can be sure of a warm welcome. We have a 6 rink green, changing rooms, and a cosy clubhouse with a well stocked bar. We have a long lease from Bath Spa University who now own the site, so our future is secure for many years to come.
We have free parking and buses from Bath, Bristol and Keynsham stop at the lights about 20 yards from the green.
We organise social events ranging from coffee mornings to fun bowls competitions. All the family are welcome to join in.
During the winter some of us play indoor bowls at the Purnells Bowling Club whilst others play short mat bowls at local clubs. You can join any of these groups, new members are always welcome.
Are you new to bowls? We have coaches to help new bowlers, and gentle club games, matches and internal competitions for beginners. Everyone will help you while you learn.
Are you an experienced bowler? We have lots of things for you to join in.
We enter league competitions as arranged by the Somerset Bowls association and organise friendly matches against local clubs. Our fixtures include men's, ladies' and mixed matches.
We encourage all members to play in our teams but there is no pressure to do so and if you prefer to play social games that is just fine.
How to Find us
We are so easy to find and we have FREE PARKING.
You will find us at Stoney Lane, Lower Bristol Road, Bath, BA2 9EU. This is located on the outskirts of Bath and Corston; on the Lower Bristol Road just to the Bath side of the traffic lights at the Newbridge road junction.
We run a Club Night Triples Competition for all members to join in. Quite competitive, but most importantly it is a chance for all members to get to know everyone, for new bowlers to play in a team of 3 and so to get to know some members pretty well, and for some merry banter about the quality of the last shot! "Oh Dear. One down now!!"
Club night Mondays, April to September from 6pm.
